PROCLAMATION.

I, William Sefton Moorhouse, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of a recommendation from the Provincial Council, do hereby proclaim the Ellesmere District, as the same is set forth and described in "The Roads Ordinance, 1864," to be an Agricultural District under the provisions of "The Trespass of Cattle Ordinance, Session XIV, No. 1."

Given under my hand, at Christchurch, this Twelfth day of November, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the "Auctioneers’ Ordinance, Session III. No. 3," I hereby give notice that the undermentioned persons have taken out Auctioneers’ Licenses for the term ending 30th June, 1867:—

NOTICE.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.

In the matter of "The Debtors and Creditors Acts."

His Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esq., the Judge presiding in this Honorable Court, has appointed that the Court shall sit, for the despatch of business accruing under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, at the Court House, Christchurch, on Friday, the Fourteenth day of December next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that a Writ calling for the Election of a Member to serve in the Provincial Council for the Town of Hokitika, in the room of Richard Harman Jeffries Reeves, Esq., resigned, has been returned to him with the endorsement that Michael Albert Cassius, Esq., has been duly elected.
