NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of His Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esquire, Judge at Christchurch of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the Third day of January, instant—Monday the Nineteenth day of February next, was appointed for the hearing of the petition of said debtor, at the Court House, Christchurch.

UPON the application of Mr. Bamford of counsel for the said Petitioner Frederick Elijah Hiscocks after reading the said Petition purporting to be signed by the said Petitioner such debtor aforesaid and to be concurred in by John George Ruddenklau of Christchurch in the province aforesaid publican and Henry Whitehead Mytton of Christchurch aforesaid merchant Creditors to the extent of not less Fifty Pounds in the whole and also certain schedules and also an affidavit of the said Frederick Elijah Hiscocks to the said petition annexed and therewith filed the twenty-first day of December instant pursuant to the said Acts this Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the estate and effects of the said Frederick Elijah Hiscocks and doth direct that the estate and effects of the said Frederick Elijah Hiscocks be taken and held by James Edwin Graham of Christchurch aforesaid Accountant as Receiver under the said Acts hereby appointed by the Court subject to such further order of the Court as may be made under or in pursuance of the said Acts And this Court doth hereby appoint Monday the Nineteenth day of February next at eleven o’clock in the forenoon for the hearing of such petition and the proof of debts and claims of creditors at the Court House Christchurch aforesaid And this order is hereby declared to be a vesting order pursuant to section 8 of the “Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act Amendment Act 1865.”
