PUBLIC NOTICE.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified for general information that the streets and public reserves in the proposed township of Wallingford having been conveyed to the Superintendent, the block of land hereinafter described will be marked on the maps of the Chief Surveyor as the “Township of Wallingford”:

The block of land situate in the Timaru District, commencing at a point on the western side of the reserve, for the southern line of Railway, where it joins the southern side of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of section No. 2898; thence south-westerly, following along the said road to the eastern bank of the Tumuka River, following along the said bank in a southerly direction to a point being the extremity of a straight line ten chains thirty links in length measured from, and at right angles to the continuation of the last described boundary; thence north-easterly, following a line parallel to that boundary, a distance of seventeen chains, one link; thence at a right angle, south-easterly, a distance of twenty-seven chains, ninety-eight links, to the road on the north side of section 3699, following that road south-easterly to the eastern side of the Main South road; thence following a straight line to the north-western corner of section No. 2482; thence following the eastern side of the Main South road, in a southerly direction, a distance of twenty-four chains, forty-eight links; thence at a right angle, easterly following a straight line to the reserve before mentioned; and from thence returning along the same to the commencing point.

This block of land is contained within rural sections Nos. 2428, 2429, 2451, 2690, and part of section 2482, and is subject to the Main South Road, and also to the road on the north side of section No. 3699.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has granted a Conditional License under the Public House Ordinance, to

WILLIAM ROSS,

for the house situate at Waitangi River, and known as the Ferry Hotel.
