- By direction of the Auditor-General, the Receipts under the “Gold Fields Act, 1862,” from Business Licenses, Miners’ Rights, and Fees and Fines in the Wardens’ Courts which previously had been paid direct to the Provincial Treasurers “West Coast Account,” were, after the 21st August, passed through the accounts of the Receiver of Land Revenue for the Province of Canterbury, and are included in the monthly payment of “Net proceeds of Land Revenue.”
† The Item of £13,709 18s. “Imprest to Commissioner,” will be classified under proper heads at the end of the financial year, the documents to enable the classification to be made being in course of preparation at the West Coast.
