PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE

Majesty Queen Victoria, entitled the "Provincial Reserved Bills Act, 1858," it was enacted that whenever any Bill shall have been passed by the Provincial Council of any Province, and shall have been reserved by the Superintendent for the signification of the Governor's pleasure thereon, such Bill shall not have any force or authority within the said Province until the Superintendent shall signify, either by speech or message to the Provincial Council, or by Proclamation in the "Government Gazette" of the said Province, that such Bill has been laid before the Governor, and that the Governor has assented to the same: And whereas a Bill entitled "The North Avon Bridge and Road Diversion Ordinance, 1866," was passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, and the same was reserved by the Superintendent for the assent of His Excellency the Governor. Now therefore, I, Samuel Bealey, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury aforesaid, do hereby proclaim and declare that the aforesaid Bill has been laid before His Excellency the Governor, and that His Excellency has assented to the same.

Given under my hand, at Christchurch, this Sixteenth day of May, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of an order of this Honorable Court made in this matter on the 2nd day of May instant the further hearing of the petition of the above named debtors was adjourned to Wednesday the 27th day of June next at eleven o'clock in the forenoon at the Court House Christchurch.

Re George Reynolds and James Reynolds of Christchurch, brickmakers, debtors.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of this Honorable Court made the Fourth day of May instant the estate and effects of the above named debtors were sequestrated and Henry Fowle Seager was appointed Receiver under the said Acts.


PARTNERSHIP NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given that the firm of PEACOCK AND CO. was dissolved, by effluxion of time, on the 31st of December, 1862, and was reconstituted; Mr. J. T. Peacock retiring therefrom on that day, in favor of Mr. Charles Wesley Turner.
