HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserve, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations, for Provincial Telegraph purposes; viz.—

No. 782, in red.—All that tract of land, being thirty-three feet in width on either side of the line of telegraph poles, and extending from the western boundary of section No. 8437 on the Kowai to the top of Arthur’s Pass, subject nevertheless to freehold land and to reserves previously made.

HIS Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esq., the Judge presiding in this Honorable Court, has appointed that the Court shall sit, for the despatch of business accruing under the provisions of the above mentioned Acts, at the Court House, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the Twenty-seventh day of June next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

PARTNERSHIP NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the firm of PEACOCK AND Co. was dissolved, by effluxion of time, on the 31st of December, 1862, and was reconstituted; Mr. J. T. Peacock retiring therefrom on that day, in favor of Mr. Charles Wesley Turner.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto subsisting between CHRISTOPHER TAYLOR and THOMAS PALEY ASHMORE, as Stockowners, under the style or firm of “TAYLOR AND ASHMORE,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.

All accounts due to or from the late firm will be settled with or by the said Christopher Taylor.

I, the undersigned PATRICK MORAN, hereby make application to register “The Totara Pioneer Water Race Company, Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865;” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular; namely,—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Totara Pioneer Water Race Company, Registered.”
  2. The place of intended operation is at Jones’s Creek, Totara.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Four Thousand Pounds, in Eighty Shares of Fifty Pounds each.
  4. The amount already paid up is One thousand three hundred and sixty Pounds (£1,360).
  5. The name of the manager is Patrick Moran.
  6. The office of the Company is at the “Shamrock Hotel,” Ross.
  7. The names and several residences of the Shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows:—
