β¨ Education Inspection Report

the Geraldine school, Christchurch Roman Catholic school, Ferry-road, and Avonside schools; also the Educational District of Waimate.
In the summary Report for the month of September, I specified certain schools particularly deserving of commendatory notice, for satisfactory results ascertained during that month; the Christchurch Wesleyan school, examined in a different month, may be fairly ranked with them.
The schedule above referred to will indicate schools in which serious defects have existed, without more special allusion to them.
I have much pleasure in stating that the schools generally are progressing satisfactorily.
The quarterly course of inspection, combined with great interest taken by Local Committees, should conduce to materially aid a superior staff of Masters in achieving the efficiency of their schools.
I have the honor to be, Sir,
Your obedient servant,
J. P. RESTELI,
Inspector of Schools.
