Christchurch, April 26, 1866.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations, as an endowment for a classical school; viz.—

No. 726, in red.—One hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Christchurch District, having frontage to the Hawkins and Coal Tramway Road, and extending back at right angles, south-westerly, to the Great South Road, being bounded on the east by section No. 5700.

No. 727, in red.—Two hundred acres, more or less, situate in the Upper Christchurch District, commencing at a point on the road, the same being the south-eastern corner of section No. 7821, following that road in a southerly direction a distance of fifty-six chains; thence at a right angle, westerly, a distance of forty chains; thence at a right angle, northerly, a distance of forty-eight chains; thence easterly, at a right angle, to the south-western corner of section No. 9260; and from thence, following the southern boundaries of that section and of sections Nos. 7870 and 7821, to the commencing point.

No. 728, in red.—Forty acres, more or less, situate in the Upper Christchurch District, being bounded on the west by the road west of section

No. 8444, on the north by that section and by section No. 8158, and on the south by section No. 8788.

No. 729, in red.—One hundred and thirty acres, more or less, situate in the Upper Christchurch District, commencing at a point on the road the same being the northernmost corner of section No. 9296, following the said road, in a north-westerly direction, to the north-eastern corner of section No. 9295, and extending back south-westerly forty chains in a rectangular block.

No. 730, in red.—One hundred and eighty-eight acres, more or less, situate in the Malvern District, being bounded on the north by section No. 9243, on the east by the road east of that section, on the south by section No. 9832, and on the west by the Waianuianawa.

No. 731, in red.—Two hundred and ninety-two acres, more or less, situate in the Ellesmere District, being bounded on the north by section No. 6729, on the west by the road, on the east by a line in continuation of the eastern boundary of the before mentioned section, and on the south by a line parallel to the first described boundary, to include the quantity required.
