PURSUANT to the provisions of the "Auctioneers' Ordinance, Sess. III,
No. 3," I hereby give notice that the under-mentioned persons have taken out Auctioneers' Licenses for the year ending 30th June, 1866:—

SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WESTLAND DISTRICT.
In the matter of "The Debtors' and Creditors' Acts."
I, His Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esq., the Judge presiding in this Honorable Court, has appointed that the Court shall sit for the despatch of business accruing under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, at the Court House, Hokitika, on Wednesday, the Thirty-first day of January instant, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.

NOTICE.
I, THOMAS HOLMES, of Shand's-road, in the Province of Canterbury, farmer, do hereby give notice, that my wife, Mary Holmes, has left her home, and has been for some time past, and now is, living in adultery; and that in consequence thereof, I shall not from henceforth recognise her as my wife, or as entitled to any marital rights. All persons after this date crediting the said Mary Holmes with money or goods, will do so at their own risk, and I shall not be answerable therefor. Witness my hand this 4th day of January, 1866.

Between John William Wood, storeaid, shipowner, defendant; and in order that the plaintiff may proceed in his action, we command you and each of you that you do retain and keep all and singular moneys and chattels, bills, bonds, and other property of whatsoever nature in the custody or under the control of you or either of you at the time of the service of this writ belonging to the said John William Wood, or to us, in which the said defendant shall at that time be legally or equitably entitled or otherwise beneficially interested in, and whether solely or jointly with any other person or persons, and all debts of any kind then due by you, or either of you, to the said defendant, although the same or any part thereof may become due and payable on a future day.
