No. 637, in red.—Eight acres, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, commencing at a point on the western side of the Great Southern Railway reserve (No. 631, in red), the said point being opposite the peg marked 120 miles 30 chains, following a straight line to a point opposite the peg marked 40 chains, and three chains distant therefrom; thence southerly following a line parallel to the centre line of railway a distance of thirty chains; thence south-easterly to a point opposite the peg marked 121 miles and 150 links distant therefrom; thence easterly following a line through the said peg a distance of three chains; thence northerly to a point opposite the 70 chain peg and two chains distant therefrom; thence northerly again and parallel to the centre line of railway a distance of thirty chains; thence following a straight line to a point opposite the 30 chain peg and 150 links distant therefrom; and from thence returning in a straight line to the commencing point, exclusive of the reserve No. 631 (in red)—For railway purposes.
No. 638, in red.—Four acres two roods, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, commencing at a point on a road, the same being fifty-five chains south-west of trig. station No. 3, following a line parallel to that portion of the centre line of the Great Southern Railway between the 127th and 128th mile pegs, a distance of thirty chains sixty links to a bank, following the said bank westerly to a point three chains distant from the centre line before mentioned; thence southerly and parallel to the centre line of railway a distance of fifteen chains; thence following a straight line to a point being 150 links west of a peg marked 40; thence easterly following a line through the said peg, a distance of three chains; thence northerly following a straight line to a point opposite peg marked 30 and two chains east of it; thence northerly following a line parallel to the aforesaid centre of line of railway to the road before mentioned; and from thence returning along the same to the commencing point, exclusive of the Great Southern Railway reserve, No. 631 (in red) which passes through the above-described land—For railway station.
No. 639, in red.—Five acres three roods, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, commencing at a point on the eastern side of reserve for railway, No. 631 (in red), distant about 102 chains in a north-easterly direction from trigonometrical station, No. 30; thence at a right angle to the said reserve a distance of about three chains eighty links to the road along which the line of telegraph runs; thence northerly following that road to its junction with the railway reserve before mentioned, and from thence returning southerly, a distance of about thirty chains to the commencing point—For railway station.
No. 640, in red.—Five hundred acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, bounded on the northward by section 3753, on the southward by section 7104, 6632, 6227, 6228, and 7102; on the eastward by the road reserved along highwater mark, and on the westward by a line parallel to and half a mile west of the south road, save and except the aforesaid south road, and also the reserve for line of railway No. 631 (in red)—For accommodation house.
No. 641, in red.—One hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, bounded on the northward by section 6229, 6230, and 7102; on the eastward by the road reserved along the beach; on the westward by the South road, and on the southward by a line at right angles to the said road, so as to include the above quantity, save and except the reserve for line of railway No. 631 (in red)—For accommodation house.
No. 642, in red.—Six hundred and forty acres, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, having one and a half mile frontage to the northern bank of the Waitangi, and running back northerly, a distance on the average of fifty-three chains thirty-four links, exclusive of reserve No. 631, which passes through the centre of this reserve in a southerly direction—For the purposes of a railway, ferry, telegraph, and other public purposes.
