In the matter of the "Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862," and
In the matter of the "Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act Amendment Act, 1865."
His Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esq.,
the Judge presiding in this Honorable Court, has appointed that the Court shall sit, for the despatch of business accruing under the provisions of the above mentioned Acts, at the Court House, Christchurch, on Monday, the Nineteenth day of February next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

COMMISSIONERS’ REPORT,
SHIP "MERMAID."
The Commissioners report that they visited the above ship on arrival. They found everything to their satisfaction, with the exception of the male hospital, which was deficient in light and ventilation. They point out the necessity of a means of communication fore and aft in the ’tween decks.
They recommend that the hospitals should always, where practicable, be placed on the upper deck between the fore and main masts.
They recommend that the Captain, Surgeon, and Officers, receive their gratuities.
They recommend the Surgeon for re-engagement.

Notice is hereby given that the sections of land specified below will be submitted to public auction, at the sitting of the Waste Lands Board, to be held at the Land Office, Christchurch, on Monday, January 22, 1866, at the hour of noon, subject to the usual conditions of sale, and in conformity with the Regulations for the disposal, sale, letting, and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown, now in force within the Province of Canterbury.
