PROCLAMATION
By His Honor SAMUEL BEALEY, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, New Zealand.
I, SAMUEL BEALEY, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers delegated to me, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date hereof, the Province of Taranaki, in the Colony of New Zealand, shall be deemed to be an Infected District, within the meaning of the "Diseased Cattle Act, 1861;" and that no Cattle shall be allowed to be imported from that District into the Province of Canterbury.
Given under my hand, at Christchurch, and issued under the Public Seal of this Province, this Twenty-fifth day of January, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

CUSTOMS NOTICE
THE Warehouse in the Port of Lyttelton which will be known as HARGREAVES AND Co.’s BONDING WAREHOUSE, and is described below, has been approved and appointed under Clause 11 of the "Customs Regulation Act, 1858," as a Warehouse for securing Goods under Bond, without payment of duty on first entry thereof:—
The eastern wing (comprising lower, middle, and upper stories) of a three-storied stone building, owned and occupied by Messrs. Edward Allen and William Henry Hargreaves, and newly erected by them on the beach side of Norwich Quay, between Oxford and Canterbury Streets, in the Town of Lyttelton.
