Christchurch, June 16, 1865.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following reserves temporarily under the 19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations, viz:—

No. 886, in red.—All that tract of land, being ten chains wide on each side of the river Bealey, extending from reserve No. 378 (in red) to the source of that river—For Provincial Government purposes.

No. 889, in red.—All that tract of land one mile wide, extending from the southern bank of the Orari to section No. 5961, being bounded on the eastward by the South road, and on the westward by a line eighty chains distant from and parallel to that road—For railway purposes.

In the matter of “The Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862.”

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of four several orders of the Court made the Fifteenth day of May last, the further hearing of the undernentioned petitions will be held at the Court House, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the Fifth day of July next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon:—

In the matter of Richard Frederick Waterlow, formerly of Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, Pork Butcher, then of the Springs Track Accommodation House, Publican, and now of the last-mentioned place, out of business, a debtor.

In the matter of James Henry Fysh, of Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, out of business, formerly in co-partnership with Thomas Hill, trading under the style of “Hill and Fysh,” as veterinary surgeons, a debtor.

In the matter of John McCosker, of Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, builder, a debtor.

In the matter of Thomas Kent, of Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, builder, a debtor.

CUSTOMS NOTICE.

THE Warehouse in the Port of Hokitika, which will be known as “Palmer’s Bonding Warehouse,” and is described below, has been approved and appointed (provisionally) under clause 11 of the “Customs Regulation Act, 1858,” as a Warehouse for securing Goods under Bond without payment of duty on first entry thereof:—

The southern wing and western half of an iron building, owned and occupied by Mr. Samuel Palmer, situate in Wharf street at its intersection with Gibson Quay, in the town of Hokitika, and on “business site” numbered 44 on the maps of the Chief Surveyor of Canterbury.

Resolved—“That No. 1. of the Standing Orders be suspended, and the day of meeting altered to Monday, instead of Friday.”

Resolved—“That No. 2. of the Standing Orders be suspended, and the hour of meeting altered from Seven to Six o’clock P.M.”
