(a) DECLARATION.—I, Charles Matthews, for Burnell, Bennett, and Sprot, of Christchurch, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 50 in number, marked — now on board of the vessel “Geelong,” Turnbull, Commander, now lying at Lyttelton in the said Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me at Lyttelton, this 9th day of April, 1865.—WILLIAM PALFREY, Inspector of Sheep.
(b) DECLARATION.—I, Cust Woledge, Agent for Mr. Matson, of Canterbury, do hereby solemnly declare that the Rams, 17 in number, marked —, now on board of the vessel “Airedale,” Ferguson, Commander, now lying at Port Lyttelton, in the said Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
