PROCLAMATION

By His Honor SAMUEL BEALEY, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, notifying the Levying
of a Rate by the Kaiapoi Municipal Council.

WHEREAS, under the provisions of the
"Municipal Council Ordinance, Session XIV, No. 2," I, SAMUEL BEALEY, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, have,
with the advice of my Executive Council,
assented to the levying of a Rate of One Shilling in the Pound by the Kaiapoi Municipal Council, to be paid at the rate of Sixpence
on the 1st June next, and Sixpence on the 1st September next: Now, therefore, it is
hereby notified that the said Rate of One Shilling in the Pound, will be so levied as aforesaid by the Kaiapoi Municipal Council.

Given under my hand, at Christchurch,
this Twenty-fifth day of April, One
thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.
