IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.

In the matter of "The Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862;" and
In the matter of the petition of John McCosker of Christchurch in the Province of Canterbury builder a debtor.

This 10th day of March 1865.

UPON the application of Mr. Moorhouse of Counsel for the said petitioner John McCosker after reading the said petition purporting to be signed by the said petitioner such debtor as aforesaid and to be concurred in by William Langdown of the Ferry Road in the Province aforesaid lime burner being a creditor to the extent of not less than fifty pounds sterling in the whole and also certain schedules and also an affidavit of the said John McCosker to the said petition annexed and therewith filed on the Second day of March instant pursuant to the said Act and after reading an affidavit of William Jones a creditor of the said debtor filed on the third instant and after hearing Mr. Garrick of Counsel for the said William Jones this Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the estate and effects of the said John McCosker and doth direct that the estate and effects of the said John McCosker be taken and held by Henry Fowle Seager of Christchurch aforesaid printer as Receiver under the said Act hereby appointed by the Court subject to such further order of the Court as may be made under or in pursuance of the said Act. And the Court doth hereby appoint Monday, the Fifteenth day of May next at eleven o’clock in the forenoon for the hearing of such petition and the proof of debts and claims of creditors at the Court House, Christchurch aforesaid.

In the matter of the petition of Richard Frederick Waterlow formerly of Christchurch in the Province of Canterbury Pork Butcher then of the Springs Track Accommodation House in the Lincoln District in the Province aforesaid Publican and now of the Springs Track aforesaid out of business a debtor not in custody.

This 7th day of February 1865.

UPON the application of Mr. Moorhouse of Counsel for the said petitioner Richard Frederick Waterlow after reading the said petition purporting to be signed by the said petitioner such debtor as aforesaid and to be concurred in by John Rowley of Christchurch aforesaid butcher a creditor to the extent of not less than fifty pounds sterling in the whole and also certain schedules and also an affidavit of the said Richard Frederick Waterlow the said petition annexed and therewith filed the second instant pursuant to the said Act this Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the estate and effects of the said Richard Frederick Waterlow and doth direct that the estate and effects of the said Richard Frederick Waterlow be taken and held by Henry Fowle Seager of Christchurch aforesaid printer as Receiver under the said Act hereby appointed by the Court subject to such further order of the Court as may be made under or in pursuance of the provisions of the said Act. And the Court doth hereby appoint Monday the Fifteenth day of May next at eleven o’clock in the forenoon for the hearing of such petition and the proofs of debts and claims of creditors at the Court House Christchurch aforesaid and this Court doth also further order and grant an ad interim order of protection to protect the person and estate of the said Richard Frederick Waterlow from arrest execution or other legal process until further order of the Court.

In the matter of the Petition of Thomas Kent of Christchurch in the Province of Canterbury builder a debtor.

This 17th day of March 1865.

UPON the application of Mr. Moorhouse of Counsel for the said petitioner Thomas Kent after reading the said petition purporting to be signed by the said petitioner such debtor as aforesaid and to be concurred in by T. and E. Pavitt of Christchurch aforesaid timber merchant creditors to the extent of not less than fifty pounds sterling in the whole and also certain schedules and also an affidavit of the said Thomas Kent to the said petition and after reading the affidavit of John McCosker made the fifteenth and filed on the sixteenth day of March instant this Court doth hereby grant an ad interim order of protection to protect the person and estate of the said John McCosker from arrest execution or other legal process until further order of the Court.
