(a) DECLARATION.—I, Joseph Palmer, of Christchurch, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, five in number, marked—on right horn, now on board of the vessel "British Empire," T. B. Callenan, Commander, now lying at Port Lyttelton, in the said Province, have not within three months last past had applied to them any reputed scab destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.
