proclaim and declare the district hereinafter
defined, to be an agricultural district within
the provisions of "The Trespass of Cattle
Ordinance, Session XIV, No. 1."
All that part of the Electoral District
of Timaru, bounded on the north by
the Wash Dyke Creek and by the
South edge of the Waitarakao Lagoon, on the east by the sea, on the
south by the north edge of the Otipua
Lagoon and Otipua Creek, and its
northern branch to the south-west
corner of section 4319, on the west
by the west boundary of section
4319, and the road along the western
boundaries of sections 4966, 3959,
3751, and 3301.
Given under my hand, at Christchurch,
this Twenty-fourth day of September,
One thousand eight hundred and

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by "The Dog
Nuisance Ordinance, Session XVII,
No. 3," and "The Dog Nuisance Amendment Ordinance, 1862," that the Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury shall,
from time to time, by Proclamation, appoint
certain places for the Registration of Dogs;
and by the third clause of the first-recited
Ordinance may authorise certain persons to
demand the fee of ten shillings for such
registration: Now, therefore, I, SAMUEL
BEALEY, Superintendent of the Province
of Canterbury, by virtue of the powers in
me vested, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the following place shall be a place at
which dogs may be registered; viz.—
At the Court House, Leithfield.
And that the person duly authorised to
perform the duties contained in the
third clause of the said first-recited
Ordinance, at the above-mentioned
place, shall be the Police Constable
in charge for the time being.
Given under my hand, at Christchurch,
this Twenty-ninth day of September,
One thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.

19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations,
has been confirmed by the Provincial
Council; viz.—
No. 348, in red.—One chain wide, commencing at a point on the southern
bank of Tai Tapu, opposite to the
present road and railway reserve,
leading to Little River, passing in a
south-easterly direction near to the
edge of the Hills, by Ahuriri, Arehie’s
Point, Kaituna, and Waikoka; thence
in a northerly direction by the
western edge of Lake Forsyth to the
road on the western side of the
native reserve at Little River, following
along the said road until it meets
the road and railway reserve before
mentioned, and more particularly
delineated and described on the map
of the Chief Surveyor; subject nevertheless to roads, freehold sections,
pre-emptive rights, and the road and
railway reserve before mentioned—for a line of tramway.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it
to be notified that, in compliance with
a Resolution of the Provincial Council, he
has made the following Reserves; viz.—
No. 366, in red.—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the Mandeville district,
bounded on the south-west by the
continuation of the road forming the
south-western boundary of section
2117, on the westward by the Waimakariri, on the south-eastward by
the road on the north-west side of
sections 472 and 564, and on the
north-east by a line parallel to the
south-western boundary, so as to
include the above quantity—for a
gravel-pit.
No. 367, in red.—Six acres two roods,
more or less, situate in the Mande-
ville district, bounded on the north-
east by the continuation of the road
forming the south-western boundary
of section 2117, on the westward and
southward by the Waimakariri, and
on the eastward by the road on the
west side of sections 472 and 366 a,
—for a gravel-pit.
