His Honor the Superintendent directs the publication of the following Return of Births and Deaths for the month of April, 1864.

Christchurch, June 10, 1864.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations; viz.—

No. 344, in red.—Fifty-six acres, more or less, situate in the Town of Timaru, bounded on the northward by Queen-street, on the eastward by High-street, on the southward by the Boulevard, two chains wide, and on the westward by the continuation of King-street—for a public park, &c.

No. 345, in red.—All those four quarter-acre sections of land situate in the Town of Timaru, and numbered 441, 442, 443, and 444 on the map of the Chief Surveyor, setting out and describing the town above mentioned—for school purposes.

No. 346, in red.—All those four sections of land situate in the town of Geraldine, and numbered 22, 23, 24, and 25 on the map of the Chief Surveyor, setting out and describing the town above mentioned; numbers 22, 23, and 24 containing one rood each, and number 25 containing thirty-nine perches—for school purposes.

No. 347, in red.—All those four sections of land situate in the Town of Arowhenua, and numbered 180, 182, 184, and 186 on the map of the Chief Surveyor, setting out and describing the town above mentioned; numbers 180, 182, and 184 containing one rood each, and number 186, containing thirty-nine perches—for school purposes.

I certify the above to be a correct Return,

(a) DECLARATION.—I, Ph. Bouverie Luxmore, of Timaru, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 25 in number, marked H, on board of the vessel “Geelong,” Turnbull, commander, now lying at Timaru, in the said province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
