SALE OF TOWN AND RURAL LANDS.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Christchurch, January 11th, 1864.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has fixed Thursday, the 3rd day of March, 1864, at the hour of noon, at a sitting of the Waste Lands Board, in the Land Office, at Christchurch, as the time and place when a Sale by Auction of Town and Rural lands shall take place in accordance with clause 24 and clause 35 of the Waste Lands Regulations, subject to the usual conditions of sale, and in conformity with the Regulations for the disposal, sale, letting, and occupation of the waste lands of the Crown, now in force within the Province of Canterbury.

Applications will be received by the Waste Lands Board on and up to Monday, the 15th of February, 1864.

NOTICE.

THE Waste Lands Board hereby notify that applications will be received on and after the 3rd day of March, 1864, being the first board day in March, for sections within the towns of Ashburton, Arowhenua, and Geraldine, in accordance with the 26th clause of the Land Regulations.

Certified maps of these towns as far as laid out will be open for public inspection at the Land Offices, Christchurch and Timaru, on the 1st day of March, 1864.

DEBTORS’ AND CREDITORS’ ACT, 1862.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Estates of the undermentioned persons have been sequestrated by order of Mr. Justice Gresson, made on the 22nd day of December instant, on a petition filed in the Supreme Court in pursuance of the above-named Act; and, Monday, the 15th day of February next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, has been appointed for the hearing of the matters of such petitions at the Court House, Christchurch:—

John Giles, lately a labourer, residing in Pleasant Valley, near Timaru, in the Canterbury District, now a prisoner for debt in the Lyttelton gaol.

John Carroll, lately a carter, residing in Lyttelton, in the Canterbury District, now a prisoner for debt in the common gaol at Lyttelton.

Samuel Edmund Anderson, lately a carter, residing at the Rakaia in the aforesaid district, now a prisoner for debt in the common gaol at Lyttelton.

Dated this 23rd day of December, 1863.

PUBLIC NOTICE

I hereby give Notice that, as Commissioner duly appointed under the provisions of “The Lost Land Orders Act, 1861,” being an Act passed by the General Assembly of New Zealand for authorizing the issue of Crown Grants in certain cases of loss of original Land Orders, I am now prepared to receive applications and to hear the claims of any parties who may have lost original Land Orders and who desire to obtain Crown Grants for the same.

All claims will be heard by me at Sittings in open Court, of which due notice will be given by Advertisement in the public papers, in order that all parties interested may have an opportunity of attending.
