For the occupation of these yards during the night, the licensees may make a charge at rates not exceeding the following, viz.:—Twopence per head for all cattle under 50 in number, and one penny per head for all over that number.

To provide and keep in repair two good and sufficient moveable sheep-proof yards, containing a superficial area of not less than 900 square yards each, or, at the option of the licensees, to keep two acres of land, each enclosed by a permanent sheep-proof fence. For the occupation of these yards or paddocks during the night, the licensees may make a charge at rates not exceeding the following, viz.:—Sixpence per score for all sheep under 800 in number, fourpence per score for all over that number and under 500, and twopence per score for all over 500.

Conditions regarding the ferry over the Rakaia to stand as per special agreement with the Provincial Government, dated 19th July, 1860, and especially the licensees shall keep a ferry boat or boats to be used upon the River Rakaia, the gear and all necessary fittings to render the same serviceable, to be always maintained in good order and repair. The licensees shall at all reasonable times and hours cross passengers, stock, and other goods at the prices named below:—Pedestrians, each, 1s.; horsemen, 2s. 6d.; drays and other vehicles, 5s.; merchandise, per ton, 10s.; wool, per bale, 1s. Officers of the Supreme Court, Magistrates, and Police Constables on duty and Prisoners, to be ferried free of charge. To afford every assistance in their power in directing strangers to a safe fording across the river.

Bound to cross sheep at threepence per head so long as the ferry is continued to them by the Government.
