I HEREBY certify that Edmund Henry MARSHALL has this day submitted to me his Degree of Doctor of Medicine, from the University of Saint Andrew’s, Scotland; also his Diploma as Surgeon from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, and his Diploma as Licentiate in Midwifery and the Diseases of Women and Children, from the Royal College of Surgeons, England; and has thereby proved himself a legally qualified Medical Practitioner, under the provisions of the “Medical Practitioner’s Ordinance” of New Munster.

CUSTOMS NOTICE.

BONDING WAREHOUSE LICENSE AT LYTTELTON.

The Warehouse in the Port of Lyttelton, known as “J. Drummond Macpherson’s No. 2 Warehouse,” and described below, has been approved and appointed under Clause XI. of the “Customs’ Regulation Act, 1858,” as a Warehouse for the securing of goods under bond, without payment of duty on the first entry thereof.

A wooden building formerly known as the Canterbury Association Boat House, situate on the Beach, on the southern side of the eastern end of Norwich Quay East, in the town of Lyttelton.

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given to the holders of Pasturage Licenses in the Ellesmere District, bounded on the north by the Selwyn, on the east by the sea coast and Lake Ellesmere, on the south by the Rakaia, and on the west by the line of the Great South Road (Nos. 47, 64, 79, 80, 81, 100, 101, 108, 122, 94, class 2), that the country has been surveyed, and that the Commissioners of the Waste Lands Board will proceed to adjust the boundaries of these runs on Thursday, the 7th day of January, 1864, at Noon, when all parties interested are required to attend.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned, William David BARNARD and William TURTON, as Stock-owners, at the Upper Ashburton, in the Province of Canterbury, has been this day dissolved.

REGULATIONS to be OBSERVED by IMMIGRANTS.

  1. Accommodation in the Barracks will be afforded to Immigrants newly arrived, for one week after landing, and no longer, without special permission, in writing, from the Immigration Officer.

  2. No person shall be allowed to enter the Barracks except by an order from the Immigration Officer.

  3. The Immigrants must rise at 6 o’clock.
