RETURN OF SHEEP INSPECTED IN THE PROVINCE OF CANTERBURY DURING THE MONTH OF MAY, 1863.

Christchurch, 8th June, 1863.

• Declaration.—I, John Frazer, of Nelson, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 2350 in number, marked W with a triangle, now being depastured by me on the north bank of the Hurunui, in the Nelson Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me, at Hastie’s, this 1st day of May, 1863.

Caverhill of Hawkswood, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 2740 in number, marked JSC, now being depastured by me on the north bank of the Hurunui, in the Nelson Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

• Declaration.—I, Andrew Burnett, of Simon’s Pass, for John Hayhurst, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of all the sheep in my charge, and that my sheep branded HJ, being 5000 in number, now being at Simon’s Pass, have not within three months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me, at Simon’s Pass, this 21st day of May, 1863.
