P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep.
DECLARATION.--I, Eugene Désaunais, for Bailey Pike, of Elephant Hill, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 84 in number, marked [brand symbol], now being depastured by me on the south side of the Waitangi, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.
Declared before me, at Wilson’s, on the Waitangi, this 15th day of December, 1862.
EUGENE DÉSAUNAIS.
P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep.
CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.--I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 84 sheep, branded [brand symbol], the property of Bailey Pike, now being depastured on the south side of the Waitangi, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.
Given under my hand at Wilson’s, this 15th day of December, 1862.
P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep
