CANTERBURY FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY, 1862.

  • DECLARATION.—I, Matthew Jugle Brown, of Tasmania, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 1500 in
    number, marked AB A G P 3 A (within diamond) M, on board the vessel Derwent Hunter (Bailey, commander),
    now lying at Port Victoria, in the said Province, have not within three months last past been subject to any dressing
    for the cure of the scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully
examined 1500 sheep, branded AB A G P 3 A (within diamond) M, the property of M. J. Brown, on board the
Derwent Hunter, at Port Victoria, and that I find such sheep to be entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand, at Port Victoria, this 8th day of February, 1862.

† DECLARATION.—I, John Hartland, of Lyttelton, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 2100 in number,
marked M A O, on board the vessel Aurifera (Jack, commander), now lying at Port Victoria, in the said Province,
have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been
mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
