2. Not less than thirteen beds for travellers in not less than four separate bedrooms.

3. To provide a shed sufficiently weathertight and fit for the accommodation of at least six horses.

4. To keep at all times a proper supply of water for the house, and for horses and cattle.

5. To keep at all times a proper supply of oats and oaten or grass hay: oats to be charged for to travellers at not more than 6d. per quart measure, and to be always served out with an imperial quart measure.

6. To provide and keep in repair good and sufficient stock-yard for cattle, capable of holding not less than 50 head.

7. To provide and keep in repair a good and sufficient moveable sheep-proof enclosure capable of holding not less than 2000 sheep, or at the option of the licensee.

8. To keep a lamp burning with two burners from sunset to sunrise, giving a sufficiently bright light and being so lighted as to be conspicuous all round the house.

9. Nil.

10. To be sworn in and to act as a constable, especially when required by the magistrates or the police.

11. On all occasions to render every assistance and supply information to magistrates and to the police in the execution of their duty.

13. To keep at all times a safe ferry boat (punt), in good working order, and ready for conveyance of passengers from the head of the harbor to the town of Akaroa, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. in summer, and between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in winter. The fare for passengers to be 5s. each for single passengers, 3s. 6d. for each passenger when more than one. Officers of Supreme Court, magistrates, and police constables on duty and prisoners to be ferried free of charge. The word constables not to include bailiffs or persons serving civil processes.
