- To keep at all times a safe ferry boat (punt), in good working order, and ready for conveyance of passengers from the head of the harbor to the town of Akaroa, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. in summer, and between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in winter. The fare for passengers to be 5s. each for single passengers, 3s. 6d. for each passenger when more than one. Officers of Supreme Court, magistrates, and police constables on duty and prisoners to be ferried free of charge. The word constables not to include bailiffs or persons serving civil processes.
