NOTICE is hereby given that
JOHN TOWNSEND PARKINSON,
Commission Agent, has taken out an Auctioneer's License, for the term ending the 1st day of July, 1862.

Immigration Commission,
Lyttelton, October 8, 1861.

WE certify that we examined the ship "Royal Stuart," and are satisfied with the arrangements and condition of the ship. We are able to testify to the attention paid by the Captain and Surgeon to the comforts of her Immigrants.

TO SURVEYORS.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
Christchurch, October 10, 1861.

TENDERS are invited by the Government for Surveys between the head waters of the Rivers Rakaia and Rangitata, and between the head waters of the Rakaia and Hurunui.

Specifications may be seen on application at the Survey Office on and after the 16th October instant.

Sealed Tenders must be sent in to the Provincial Secretary by Noon on Saturday, the 16th of November, 1861, endorsed "Tender for Survey."

The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
