CUSTOMS.
GOVERNOR\'S ORDER.
No. 13.
By His Excellency Colonel THOMAS GORE BROWNE, Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty\'s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
IN exercise of the authority in me for this purpose vested by the "Customs Regulation Act, 1858," I, Thomas Gore Browne, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare and appoint that the Beach at Timaru, in the Province of Canterbury, to the extent of Forty (40) Chains, measured along the line of the Beach in each direction North and South of the small stream or watercourse which crosses the Marketplace of Timaru, shall be deemed and taken to be a legal Quay or Landing Place for the lading and unlading of goods under the "Customs Regulation Act, 1858"
Given under my hand at Auckland, this Fourth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.
