  • DECLARATION.—I, Frederick Burton, of Elephant Hill, Waitaki, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 1,700 in number, marked Δ, now being depastured by me on the South Bank of the Waitaki, in the Otago Province, have not within three months last past been subject to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

    Declared before me at Wilson's, on the Waitaki, this 10th day of June, 1861. P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 1,700 sheep, branded Δ, the property of F. Burton, Esq., now being depastured on the South Bank of the Waitaki, and that I find such sheep to be entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand at Wilson's, this 10th day of June, 1861.

† DECLARATION.—I, John Scott Caverhill, of Hawkeswood, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 2,100 in number, marked ⊙⊖, now being depastured by me on the North Bank of the Hurunui, on the 13th July, 1861, have not within three months last past been subject to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with the scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.
