RETURN OF SHEEP IMPORTED BY SEA INTO THE PROVINCE OF CANTERBURY FOR THE MONTHS OF MAY AND JUNE, 1861.

10th June G. Rich, Esq. Glentanner London 36 ewes and rams Clean & healthy.
16th June — Bowler, Esq. Steamer Lord Worsley Wellington 10 rams Clean & healthy.

I certify the above to be a correct return.
Christchurch, 18th June, 1861. JAMES RULE, Inspector of Sheep.

  • DECLARATION.—I, James Chrisp, of Melbourne, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 1,500, now on board the screw steamer Prince Alfred, Capt. James Bowden, commander, lying in Port Lyttelton, in the said province, have not within three months last past been subject to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
