WARRANT APPOINTING TRUSTEES OF LYTTELTON SAVINGS' BANK.
By His Excellency, THOMAS GORE BROWNE, Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander in Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
IN exercise of the power vested in me by the "Savings' Bank Act, 1858," I, THOMAS GORE BROWNE, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby nominate and appoint the persons hereinafter named to be Trustees of the Lyttelton Savings' Bank, in the stead and place of the present Trustees of the said Bank :β

HIS Honor the Superintendent, in pursuance of certain powers vested in him by the "Empowering Ordinance, Sess. II., No. 2," directs it to be notified that the foot-paths in the Town of Christchurch, hereinafter described, having been well and sufficiently made and completed for the use and accommodation of foot-passengers, according to the provisions of the "Foot-path Ordinance, Sess. VII., No. 12," are hereby declared to be public foot-paths, and from and after the date hereof shall be deemed and taken accordingly to be public foot-paths within the meaning of the said Ordinance.
The said foot-paths run along Colombo-street on the East side from Oxford Terrace to Cashel-street, on the West side from Armagh-street to Cashel-street.
Cashel-street on the North and South side from Oxford Terrace to High-street.
High-street, North and South side from Colombo-street to Cashel-street.

May 7, 1861.
The undersigned certify that they have visited the immigrant vessel Rhea Sylvia ;
That they found every part cleanly and well ordered ;
That the health of the immigrants was generally very good ;
That the rations were of good quality, and the immigrants were very well pleased with their ship and captain.
