- DECLARATION.—I, Richard James Strachan Harman, of Christchurch, Civil Engineer, do hereby solemnly declare that my sheep, branded Mallet, being 900 in number, now being at Taylor's Hut, on the Selwyn, have not within three months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with the scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true. Declared before me at Christchurch, this 23rd day of January, 1861. P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep.
CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 900 sheep, branded Mallet, the property of R. J. S. Harman, now being depastured at Taylor's Hut, on the Selwyn, and that I find such sheep to be entirely free from scab or catarrh.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 23rd day of January, 1861. P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep.
† DECLARATION.—I, William Dunford, of Mackie and Beard's Station, Rakaia River, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of all the sheep in my charge, and that my sheep, branded Hollow Cross, being 3,000 in number, now being at the Rakaia, have not within two months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within two months been mixed with any sheep infected with the scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true. Declared before me at the Rakaia, this 17th day of January, 1861. P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep.
