Election Notice
ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE TOWN OF CHRISTCHURCH.
IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, entitled “The Regulation of Election Act 1858,” I, Henry Godfrey Goulard, Returning Officer of the Electoral District of the Town of Christchurch, do hereby give notice, that by virtue of a writ bearing date the 26th day of November, 1860, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Town Hall, Christchurch, on FRIDAY, the 30th day of NOVEMBER, 1860, at Noon, and that the poll (if necessary) will take place on Saturday, the 1st day of December, 1860.

passed by the Legislative Council and House of Representatives having been presented to the Governor for the Royal assent, His Excellency has, in the name of Her Majesty, been pleased to assent to the said Bill.
