Declaration.--I, John Scott Caverhill of Hawkswood, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 1,050 in number, marked JSC over B (within circle), now depastured by me on the North Side of the Hurunui River, Nelson Province, have not within three months last past been subject to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me at the Hurunui, this 14th day of July, 1860.

Certificate of Inspector.--I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 1,050 sheep, branded JSC over B (within circle) the property of J. S. Caverhill, now depastured on the North Side of the Hurunui River, and that I find such sheep to be entirely free from scab or catarrh.
Given under my hand at the Hurunui, this 14th day of July, 1860.
