ELECTION NOTICE.
ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE COUNTY OF CHEVIOT.
In pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled, "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, George Leslie Lee, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the County of Cheviot, do hereby give notice, that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the 6th day of October, 1859, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Mr. Thomas Wilson’s Woolshed, Mount Grey Run, on MONDAY, the 12th day of December, 1859; and that the poll (if necessary), will be taken on THURSDAY, the 15th day of December, 1859.

The following places are polling places for the Electoral District of the County of Cheviot:
- Mr. Thomas Wilson’s Woolshed, Mount Grey Run, near the Kowai River.
- Robinson’s Station, (Cheviot Hills).
- Mason’s Old Station at Waitohi Creek.
