One hundred and sixty acres, situate on the northern bank of the river Ashburton, at the fork, about ten miles from the sea, in a direct line, having 40 chains frontage to the river, and extending back northerly 40 chains, and numbered 137 in red on the maps in the Land Office, Christchurch, for a Ferry and House of Accommodation.
Ten acres on the South or Springs'-road, having 10 chains frontage to the road, and extending back in a rectangular block 10 chains, adjoining section 275, and numbered 133 in red on the maps of the Land Office, Christchurch.

Separate Tenders must be made forβ
- Printing the Provincial Government Gazette.
- Printing Ordinances of the Provincial Council.
- Printing Drafts of Bills for the Provincial Council.
- Printing Official forms, and other Occasional papers.
Separate Contracts will be made for each.
The Government or the Contractor to be at liberty to terminate the Contract by three Months' Notice in writing on either side.
The government will not be bound to accept the lowest tender.
