HIS Honor the Superintendent directs the following notification to be published for general information.

I, W. S. MOORHOUSE, the Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me in this behalf, do hereby, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, make the following Reserves for the undermentioned purposes, viz. :
Six hundred and forty acres on the Salt-water Creek, about three miles above the ford, being a block of land one mile square on both sides of the creek, and numbered 119 in red on the maps in the Land Office, Christchurch, for the purposes of a township.
Fifteen hundred acres, more or less, bounded on the north and west by the river Hurunui, on the east by Taylor's Creek, running into Lake Sumner, and on the south by a line drawn parallel to the Hurunui, so as to include such quantity, and numbered 115 in red on the maps in the Land Office, Christchurch, for the purposes of a township.
Fifteen hundred acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the river Grey to the first gorge, on the west by the sea coast, on the south by a line from the coast to the gorge, so as to include such quantity, and numbered 118 in red on the maps of the Land Office, Christchurch, for the purposes of a township.
Five acres, more or less, situate at Rickman's corner, on the Lower Lincoln-road, about five miles from Christchurch, south of and adjoining the Gra-
