PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS I, WILLIAM SEFTON MOORHOUSE, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, did, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, prorogue the Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury on the 24th day of February, 1858, and the said Provincial Council did stand prorogued accordingly till the 3rd day of September, 1858; and whereas it is expedient that the Session of the said Provincial Council shall be further prorogued—
Now therefore I, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, do hereby further prorogue the said Provincial Council, and Summon the same for despatch of business on Friday the 1st day of October, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-eight.
Given under my hand, this thirtieth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-eight.
