PROCLAMATION.
I, JAMES EDWARD FITZ GERALD, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf, by the 23rd clause of the Regulations for the Disposal, Sale, Letting, and Occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown, in the Province of Canterbury, and upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, Proclaim and Declare, that the Manuka Scrub standing on the Sandhills on the Runs Nos. 9 and 72 shall be, and the same are hereby, reserved against being cut down under Timber-Cutting Licenses.
Given under my hand at Christchurch this twentieth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven.
