The increase of Vessels from Great Britain is owing to the revival of Immigration this year. There has been considerable increase in the number of Vessels frequenting Port Victoria, (1855), but as many arrive vid other Ports in New Zealand, they do not appear in this Return.

J. W. HAMILTON,
Collector,
Custom House, Port Victoria, 28th February, 1856.
