Joseph Brittan, Esq., and
Richard Packer, Esq.,
have resigned their seats in the Executive Council.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that he has this day appointed

Henry John Tancred, Esq.,
to be President of the Executive Council,
and

Joseph Brittan, Esq.,
John William Warburton Hamilton, Esq.,
to be Members of the Executive Council.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
July 27th, 1855.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that he has duly authorised

Thomas Cass, Esq.,
the Chief Surveyor of the Province of Canterbury, to sign the maps kept in the Register Office, in the place of the Surveyor-General of New Zealand.
