Land Licensing Regulations

specting all other matters and things which
the Commissioner is by law empowered to
hear and to determine.

  1. There shall be a Clerk to the said
    court, who shall keep faithful records of all
    applications made to the Court, and all decisions thereon, and of all sums of money
    paid to the Commissioner, and generally of
    all the proceedings of the Court; and the
    Commissioner shall sign all such records of
    his proceedings.

  2. A copy of all such records of proceedings shall, once in every month, be
    transmitted to the Superintendent, and shall
    by him be laid before the Provincial Council
    as soon as conveniently may be after receiving the same.

GENERAL.

  1. In the foregoing Regulations every
    Act which the Superintendent is authorized
    or required to perform, he shall perform
    solely in accordance with the advice of his
    Executive Council for the time being, and
    such advice shall be recorded on the minutes
    of the Council.

  2. The Commissioner of Crown Lands
    shall be summoned to attend every meeting
    of the Executive Council at which any such
    Act shall be agreed to. And if the Commissioner shall dissent from the opinion of the
    Superintendent and his Executive Council,
    he shall be at liberty to enter a protest stating his reasons in writing against such decision, and such protest shall be entered on
    the minutes of the Executive Council, and
    shall be laid before the Provincial Council.

LICENCE TO OCCUPY TOWN LANDS.

of the Waste Lands of the Crown hereinafter described, and hath this day paid to
me as Commissioner of Crown Lands for
the Province of Canterbury the said sum of
... pounds, ... shillings,
and ... pence, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged, NOW KNOW ALL
MEN AND THESE PRESENTS WITNESS, that I
in pursuance of the powers
vested in me as such Commissioner, do
hereby authorise and empower the said ...
his heirs or assigns, at any time after
the date hereof to enter upon all that section
of land situated in ... street, in the town
of ..., in the authenticated map of the said town in the Crown
Lands’ Office, and containing ... acres,
or thereabouts, being the section of land so
purchased as aforesaid, and to hold and
enjoy the same for his and their absolute
use and benefit.
