NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that
a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the
despatch of criminal and civil business will
be holden at Lyttelton on the day following
the next arrival of the steamer “Nelson”
from the Northern Settlements, at ten
o’clock in the forenoon, within the Court
House there, at which time and place all
persons under recognizances to appear
either as prosecutors, defendants, or wit-
nesses, are required to give their atten-
dance. The civil business will be pro-
ceeded with immediately after the criminal
business.

The sum of Twenty Thousand Pounds
(£20,000) sterling has been invested under
the Warrant of His Excellency the Gover-
nor, in the Public Funds in England, through
the Commissariat Department, by arrange-
ments made through the Lords Commis-
sioners of Her Majesty’s Treasury.
