SUPREME COURT.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of criminal and civil business will be holden at Lyttelton on the day following the next arrival of the steamer "Nelson" from the Northern Settlements, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, within the Court House there, at which time and place all persons under recognizances to appear either as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance. The civil business will be proceeded with immediately after the criminal business.

Mr. THOMAS TOWNSHEND to be Schoolmaster of the Riccarton District School. The appointment to bear date from the 1st instant.
