(a) viz. This sum exceeds the balance shown on the statement published in the “Gazette” of the 26th January last by £3 0s. 10d., which comprised certain advances made by the General Government at Akaroa, since repaid by the Provincial Treasurer at Lyttelton.

(b) viz. Mem. There is a further sum of £29 18s. 9d. in the hands of the Sub-Treasurer at Akaroa, advanced from the Customs Department at Akaroa, to be refunded to the Collector at Lyttelton.
