61 M James Niccol 50 Pneumonia Aug. 12 July 20 1 Admitted for double pneumonia. Great dyspnoea. Urgent cough. Expectoration bloody. Countenance livid. Pulse very weak. The two upper lobes of left lung congested, lower lobe hepatized. The right lung in first stage of pneumonia. Liver large and nutmegged. Heart hypertrophied.
62 F Ann Sommers 18 Cerebral disease Aug. 20 July 21 18 hours Admitted partially insensible, pupils dilated. Died 18 hours after admission. On examining the brain, the surface was free from effusion, the base covered with lymph and pus. Upon making an incision into the lateral ventricle of the left hemisphere, an abscess was found which found vent through the meatus auditorius internus and externus into the ear, which at times was considerable, and at times none at all. The deceased had been previously a patient, when she so far recovered as to wish to return home, but came back to hospital in a few days greatly changed, and died as before mentioned.

64 M Colin McIntyre 65 Cancer of stomach Aug. 26 Sept. 2 7 Admitted in the last stage of emaciation, constant vomiting, pain over the stomach, the matter rejected being of a dark color, everything pointing to organic disease of the stomach. On examining the body there was found scirrhus of the pylorus and consequent stricture, the disease extending some distance down the duodenum, the whole mucous membrane of the stomach more or less destroyed, a large patch of florid color was found at the pyloric extremity. The stomach was full of blood-like coffee grounds. Liver hobnail.
65 M James McCallum 18 Scarlatina Sept. 15 Sept. 16 21 hours On admission the body and trunk were covered with the eruption of scarlatina. Delirium set in, and he died 21 hours after admission. It was a case of malignant scarlet fever.
66 M John Cassell 48 Heart disease Aug. 14 Sept. 16 33 Admitted for heart disease of old standing, great debility and dyspnoea. Heart weighed 28ozs. Valves greatly dilated and filled with fibrinous clots. Liver nutmeg, weight 4lbs. Lungs and kidneys healthy.
