In pursuance of “The Highways Act, 1874,” I do
hereby bring the said Act into operation within the

Turanganui Highway District;

and I do hereby appoint the First Meeting of Rate-
payers to take place at Mr. Michael Mullooly’s Hotel,
Tolaga Bay, on Monday, the 21st August proximo,
at two o’clock in the afternoon, and Edward Murphy,
Esq., J.P., to be Chairman of such Meeting.

Given under my hand at Wellington, in
the Province of Wellington, this 27th
