PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey,
Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in me by section 26 of "The Highways Act, 1874,"
I do hereby appoint Mr. William Gibbeson to be a MEMBER of the WHANGAREI District Board in the place of Mr. John McDonald, resigned.

IT is hereby notified that the Chairman of the Awaitu District Board, under "The Highways Act, 1874," has reported in writing to the Superintendent the name of Mr. Edward Garland as having been duly elected a Member of that Board in the place of Mr. Henry Garland, deceased.

vice Robert Frederick Keller, deceased.

CAMBRIDGE:—Charles Ewen, vice J. C. Reynolds, deceased.

MARAETAI:—William Carpenter, vice Lewis Direy, resigned.

Sergeant Richard Sanderson, A.C.,
to be Gaoler of the Public Prison at Newcastle (Ngaruawahia), in the place of Constable George S. Matheson.

KAUKAPAKAPA SOUTH HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessment List of the above-named District has been finally settled. The Rate Book may be inspected and the Rates paid to the Chairman at his residence, Kaukapakapa.
