IT is hereby notified that the Offices of the Provincial Government will be closed from Saturday, the 25th instant, to Tuesday, the 28th instant, inclusive; also, from Saturday, the 1st January, to Tuesday, the 4th January, proximo, both days inclusive.

Benjamin Tonks, Esq., M.P.C.,
as Mayor of that Borough.

Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by section 26 of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to be Members of the Highway Boards set opposite their respective names, to supply vacancies:—
Waikomit:—Humphrey Ewing Sharp, vice Abel Kelsall, deceased.
Albertland North:—W. B. Farrand and E. Pilkington, vice J. G. Dudding, and M. W. Armstrong, resigned.
