IT is hereby notified that the Offices of the Provincial Government will be closed on Tuesday, the 9th November, in commemoration of the Birthday of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.

IT is hereby notified that the several Chairmen of the afternamed District Boards, under “The Highways Act, 1874,” have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned persons appointed as Fence Viewers for those Districts respectively, in accordance with the provisions of “The Fencing Act, 1855, Amendment Act, 1874,” namely:
Tauranga: — Dennis Kennedy and Samuel Reeves.
Upper Mahurangi: — George Moor and Edwin G. Clements.
Kaio: — Joseph Hare, Junior, and Daniel Hayes.

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of “The Highways Act, 1874,” that certified copies of the Assessment Lists of the undermentioned Highway Districts, for the year 1875-76 have been forwarded to this Office:—
- Kaukaparapa North.
- Tamahere.
- Mongonui.
- Poverty Bay.
- Kaio.
- Awitu.

PARUA HIGHWAY DISTRICT,
THE Assessment List for the Parua Highway District has been finally settled. The Rate Book may be inspected at the residence of the Chairman, to whom the Rates are now payable; or to H. Ashton and Son, Insurance Buildings, Queen-street, Auckland.
